The highlight of the zoo for many is the cougar, named Nashi. Issaquah also has a salmon hatchery that annually raises close to 4 million Chinook (King) and Coho (Silver) salmon that end up swimming to the North Pacific. For shoppers, Gilman Village offers 40-plus shops and restaurants; it’s one of Puget Sound’s best known and most distinctive shopping destinations.
